It also increases the risks of Credit Card Fraud, Identity Theft and Malware Viruses. In addition, while users may not be aware, when buying these medicines they directly support Organized Criminal Groups. The dangerous counterfeit and illicit medicines are ERECTILE DYSFUNCTIONAL PILLS, WEIGHT LOSS PILLS, ANTIBIOTICS, HORMONE REPLACEMENT, MUSCLE RELAXANTS, BETA BLOCKERS, AND BRONCHODILATORS.}

One of the biggest obstacles to over-come in fighting this problem as I see it comes in tracking down where the sites where these products are sold is finding out where the real end of the line is. Talented hackers can exploit weaknesses in poorly maintained servers and make site for the sale of illicit drugs appear for at least a time to originate in country other than where the orders and electronic funds actually go. The successful individuals in this trade constantly shift hosting servers and obscure their tracks with growing sophistication. It’s hard to direct concerted efforts until you know where to go and by then they’ve usually moved on. The one thing that strikes me as odd here in the States is that there isn’t a widely recognized effort to educate people to the inherent dangers in engaging in this activity…

I fully agree with you the organized crime groups work with great sophistication so that they never get caught. RCMP in Canada keeps warning people through television and other sources of news to be very careful and not to buy any medication on the web. I hope more concerted efforts are made to educate public on a vast scale about the dangers lurking on the Internet. Our honorable commissioner is taking practical steps in this direction. Yes Sharmishtha, it has become a global challenge now. Concrete steps in this regard are necessary, and RCMP and the media here are doing a great service to people by educating them about the dangers of these illicit pharmaceuticals. The worst thing to happen (Or best for the Criminal) was the Internet. You can hide anywhere on any server in the background of any website.
I know a friend who nearly had a heart attack buying steroids for his Gym workouts. I called him an Idiot before and he is an idiot still..

Yes Shaun, you are so right. Internet is a blessing for the law abiding and a haven for crime groups. It is a bleak picture. So sorry for your naive friend, even sensible people get carried away sometimes. They are ill and vulnerable and these criminals thrive on their plight. So sad. There should be more public education in this regard. I went to your site and would be back to comment, heat gets me sometimes and I get a headache and can’t do anything. One thing that MIGHT help stop this type of thing is maybe making medicines less expensive. I cannot comprehend sometimes the cost of prescriptions some people have to pay. Thousands of dollars a month. WOW! Kinda can’t blame them for looking for a more affordable source.
I would be too afraid to buy a drug that was not from my medical plans pharmacy! But really, why is some medicine so outrageously expensive? And, of course, it seems it hits the seniors with limited income the most! (I’m in the USA.)

I think proper pricing will help everyone. Elderly are the hardest hit. In Canada certain medications are very expensive but elderly are covered by the medical plans so the problem is not so much. But still I agree with you spending thousands of dollars a month on medications is outrageous. Internet criminals thrive on the needs of people. A lot needs to be done in this area and our honorable commissioner and RCMP are working towards these issues, and trying to educate people through the media on the dangers of buying online medications. Lets hope for the best. Good to hear from you and I and my hubby enjoyed yet another breakfast with avocado recipe you posted. It is our favorite now. Take care.
