Happy Thanksgiving 2020, Canada

This Thanksgiving will be very different than past years. With covid-19 cases surging all across Canada, health officials are requesting people to celebrate in smaller family bubbles. Virtual events, and social distancing in the indoor as well as outdoor events are certainly things to be grateful for, this year. The current unprecedented situation does give us a pause to meditate and think what really matters in our lives and to appreciate the blessings of our lives. Let’s be kind, and caring for those who are less blessed than us.

As Canadians, we have been blessed with abundance so let’s give thanks for our abundance.

“Giving thanks for abundance is greater than abundance itself.” Rumi

I am a free lance writer who loves to write on social issues in particular. I am a house wife and my husband Dr. Shams Iqbal offers all the support and encouragement so that I can pursue my passion for authorship and other cause which is dear to me. My lifelong mission in life is to offer my support for the police officers who need to be supported and protected by general public like us. My inspiration to do this comes from my personal experiences of some of the greatest police officers whom I have witnessed do great deeds for the good of humanity. I am so inspired and fascinated to support this law enforcement group. On the other hand I like music, movies specially classics, I am a fashion geek, English and American literature are my passions.

    • Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I have shared your experience with my friends and neighbors and it did convince them of the deadly reality of the virus. May you start your journey of healing from this tragedy soon. Sharing does help bring some comfort to us. Thank you again and God bless you and keep you safe and healthy. We are living through very troubled times, no doubt.
