From what the MOS (Member Of Service/NYPD) wife wrote, commands were 41 Precinct over on Bruckner Blvd, around Randall Avenue (?), and Brooklyn South (Task Force) rolled out of the Park House of Prospect Park at Coney Island Avenue. The other side of Brooklyn South (OCCB) was in Bay Ridge, and I will not state where.
No indication of timeframe.
Much more to the story. What platoon was he working? Was it a gun-run job? Robbery? “Routine” Car Stop? These are the stories that make people stop dead in their tracks.
Like a sponge, you look for more information about what happened at the T/P/O (Time and Place of Occurrence). You feel the blood drop out of your face.

Thank you so much for your valuable input and I agree with you that these stories paint a true picture of what goes on in a police officers life from day to day. The dangers of the situations are immense depending on what kind of a mission he is on. I will re blog more of her stories since I am always looking for such true accounts so that people may appreciate the dangers the police officers and their families go through every day of their lives.
