I don’t think I have mentioned this but my step brother is a police officer in New York and some of the horrors he has experienced with 9/11 and other tragedies I wonder how he has the courage to do it. Your page is such a beautiful dedication

WOW! I did not know this but You must be proud of your brother. My blog honors our protectors and no doubt the job of a Police Officer has a lot of challenges. We cannot even comprehend how these superb human beings cope with the pressures of every day work which is so challenging and dangerous. Thank you for sharing the heart of the Police Force Samina, if we don’t stand for something we will fall for everything and the Police stand by the Law knowing it is for the good of everyone but what if it was not and only based on evil like in Hitler’s Government, this is why each of us has to decide who we follow, man or God.
Jesus was hated and ignored because He chose His Fathers will even to His death , He tells us those who are hard – hearted will ignore His Truth and hate those who bring it.
I see this steadfastness with our Police Force, yes they are sometimes verbally abused and not respected as they should be but this does not alter their stand for enforcing the Law, hated or Loved, they remain committed.

The words that captured my heart with this poem were “For the sake of humanity!” Such service, dedication, strength, bravery, and willingness to endure the things they do. They have to overcome fear of death, knowing their lives are on the line at all times. I admire and really appreciate the way men and women who choose this “calling” carry out their duties. Fine post, Samina, like always! You give us a lot to think about and remind us to thank our community workers.

Thanks for liking the poem and yes everything came from the heart. You know I wrote this poem by just looking at the photo of the Police Officer and the words just came out of my heart. It is amazing Ellie. Maybe my passion is becoming very strong with every moment. I brought tears to your eyes and your comment doubled me up in laughter. LOL. Yes I live among very beautiful people including my hubby, and the setting of my house is pacific west coast. Overlooking the pacific and surrounded by lot of beautiful people of law enforcement and even the pets here are good looking, one can think of nothing else but beauty. Beautiful people with beautiful characters and hearts living among the beauty of nature is a blessing of God. I am specially blessed by God. Thanks for making my day. You are beautiful Ellie. I really look forward to your posts, actually they have taught me to look at police men with a different angle, we Indians are so allergic to them that mostly we forget that not all of them are bad, you make me realize that quite a handful of them are good too!

Thank you so much my friend and it was Eid today and Canadian Thanksgiving yesterday. On both these occasions people offer special thanks to God for everything that He has blessed us with. Turkey dinners are served to the less fortunate in the churches and other places. People cook special turkey meals and invite friends over dinner and offer thanks. I will some day love to read the stories behind muslim and Christian festivals! I love reading those stories and then feeling what the people of that religion feel on that day!
till date I know only about Christmas, Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Halloween of Christians, and the birthday of the prophet of muslims.
