“Crime moves in a spiral and while going down in circles it takes everyone in its grip. The best way to save yourselves from becoming the victims of crime is to co-operate with police and offer them all your support so that we can work together as a community, and succeed in making our neighborhoods safer. Make police your ally.” (RCMP Officer Darlene Kent. Coquitlam, British Columbia,Canada).

“It would not be a bad notion that the next time you see a Police Officer do wave at him/her in an appreciating manner, pray for his/her well-being. And if you can fully comprehend the intensity of his/her job, and the responsibility he/she accepts of protecting you, a Salute may be in order.” Samina Iqbal

your uniforms are not just more attractive than US police, but more noticeable, too–which I think is good quality for a police person to have!

Yes, color red is very attractive and of course noticeable. It brightens up the personality of the police officer. I really like their uniforms. Thanks Charron for the visit. It’s always nice to talk to you. Take care.

on paper its lovely. in reality I wish indian police was that co operative to those who gather the courage and complain!

Thanks for a realistic comment. You are so right, a lot of changes need to be made in the policing of the countries like India and the surrounding Asian countries for any law and order to prevail. Citizens only feel comfortable to complain to police when they know their complains will not be held against them. Here in Canada RCMP (royal mounted Canadian police) does so much for people that we think we should start doing something for them. I do wish that your wish is granted. Take care my friend.

I fully agree and wish we can get that message home in South Africa, but thanks to the wide spread corruption in certain quarters of our national police the police have lost the trust of exactly the people they need. What a pity, because of some bad apples in the box.

I agree the problem of corruption is widespread in most of the police forces of the countries. A few bad apples can give a bad name to the whole organization. Decisive and bold steps are required to correct the situation in any police force and a lot depends on the Politicians and the Police Chief. We are very lucky in Canada in so many ways. Lets hope for the best for Future. Take care.
